1. Nuba (207 W Hastings Street, 146 E 3rd Avenue, 3116 W Broadway)
Local re-interpretations of traditional and modern Lebanese dishes. It’s fresh, it’s healthy and it’s the perfect way to start your day. Brunch dishes include grilled flat bread with lamb merguez sausage and poached eggs, shakshuka, honey labneh parfait and more.

2. Virtuous Pie (583 Main Street)
This vegan go-to in Chinatown is testing out a new brunch menu every weekend until June 11th. The menu ranges from their smoked carrot lox breakfast bowl to breakfast tacos, calzones and more than a few breakfast pizzas. Like everything on their menu, each dish is vegan and totally delicious.

3. Ask For Luigi (305 Alexander Street)
Pasta for breakfast? Yes please. On top of having some of the best banana bread in the city, this little gem of a restaurant also serves pork belly polenta, pappardelle alla bolognese with fired egg and smoked cod with potatoes, poached egg & saffron aioli. It’s all so good!

4. Floata Seafood Restaurant (180 Keefer Street)
While Floata doesn’t technically offer a brunch menu; their gigantic restaurant opens at 8:00am daily. Dim Sum service starts at 10:00am and just so happens to be an awesome way to start your day. You can also order congee, rice hot pot, and tons of rice and noodle dishes. Super filling, super delicious.

5. Chicha (136 E Broadway)
Peruvian cuisine makes for a great brunch. Fresh, spicy, hearty and full of flavour. Their menu includes small plate sharing dishes (ceviche, cassava root fried with huancaina sauce, quinoa honey bread) as well as larger mains like Buttermilk and Sweet Potato Waffles with pisco glazed mango or locra de zapallo hash with poached eggs and chili hollandaise.

6. La Mezcaleria (1622 Commercial Drive and 68 E Cordova Street)
Chilaquiles! Huevos divorciados! If you haven’t tried these Mexican classics, you need to head to Mezcaleria’s Gastown or Commercial Drive locations ASAP. They also make a wicked eggs benedict with salmon and a tequila hollandaise. Mezcaleria serves brunch Wednesday – Sunday and… Can’t say more, mouth watering too much. 7. The Acorn (3995 Main Street)
Veggies for the win! The Acorn may be a vegetarian restaurant but their brunch menu is crazy filling. Their most popular items include their deep fried poached egg (served with polenta and smoked chanterelle mushrooms) and their super decadent play on chicken and waffles; southern Fried Artichokes, House Waffle, Pickled Shallots, Bourbon Maple Syrup, Mushroom Red-Eye Gravy.
