Canada’s first Baileys Treat Bar, where people can concoct their own, over-the-top alcoholic drink, is on tap at CF Richmond Centre right now as a part of the mall's holiday buzz.
Sharon Howard, marketing manager at Baileys' parent company, Diageo Canada, said the strategy of the treat bar is to contrast the busy world people currently live in by seeking more playful, indulgent moments to cope with their hectic life.
“We wanted to use this opportunity to encourage people to take a moment to treat themselves,” Howard said. “Our aim is to provide a beautiful and unique space where customers can create their own DIY and Instagram-worthy treats during the holidays.”
The Baileys Treat Bar began in London in 2017, and has been a feature in American centres, but Richmond Centre's is among the first in Canada.
Howard also says this kind of pop-up event is a "sweet spot between bakery and cocktail bar."
Consumers will be offered hot chocolate or hot coffee topped with their own selection of ever so slightly over the top treats.
The Baileys Treat Bar is set up inside Richmond Centre from Dec. 12 to Dec. 14, from noon to 8 p.m.
