The Bakers Box by With Warm Welcome is in Vancouver for a one-time-only offering of two curated sets of locally-made treats by Asian-Canadian pastry chefs.

A brimming bakery box filled with delectable handmade pastries is certainly something that qualifies as a "warm welcome" when presented as a greeting. Now a travelling consortium that is amplifying the immense talents of Asians in the culinary community has set the spotlight on Vancouver to showcase 18 carefully-selected locally-made pastries for a one-time only fundraiser.

The project is called With Warm Welcome, and has, to date, featured 288 people from the pastry industry in North American cities like New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Toronto. For its 17th edition, With Warm Welcome's Bakers Box is here in Vancouver, and has curated a selection of treats, loaded into two boxes, available for pre-order and pick-up for just one day only.

The Vancouver edition features pastries from high-profile and up-and-coming local bakers, which means you'll find Andrew Han of Kouign Café's signature Little White Rabbit nestled up with a Matcha Mochi Muffin from Chanel Gonzales-Clemente's Cha Cha Bars, or Jamie Tung of popular bakery Buttermere's Pineapple Salted Egg Niello alongside Tara Shioya of Chouette Bakery's Yuzu Raspberry Bar - plus over a dozen more goodies.

The timing is perfect for gathering to feast on pastries since pick-up day is Sunday, Oct. 30 - so maybe no need to steal Halloween candies from your kids' bags, or wait to satisfy your sweet tooth with day-after discounted candy sales.

As a fantastic bonus, 10 per cent of the proceeds of this edition of the Bakers Box will be donated to the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation.

Pre-orders are open now via Tock for $100USD for the two boxes (roughly $144CAD0, and pick-up times are available on Oct. 30 at Kuo Hua in Richmond (4551 No. 3 Rd).
