Downtown's charming Bel Café has finally added a second location to its roster. The David Hawksworth venture officially opened their doors in Kitsilano last week.
This new Bel Café is an addition to the event and catering commissary space opened late last year at 1780 West 3rd Avenue. The "Chef's Kitchen" expansion was launched there to accommodate Hawksworth Catering's growing scope of service, as well as serve as a test kitchen and event venue.

Bel Café is operating in the front portion of this exciting new space. They have an expansive counter with pastries and a menu of coffee and tea, including specialty drinks. In addition to the baked goods, they have a selection of savoury toasts (think kale and eggs, or avocado, or tomato and burrata and the like).

The original Bel Café, known for their elegant eats, macaron, pastries, and coffee drinks, is located at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in downtown Vancouver (where the eponymous Hawksworth restaurant is, too).
The new Hawksworth Chef's Kitchen and Bel Café occupy the space that was formerly the catering service and cafe/gourmet shop Quince. They are open 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
