Vancouver's destination for ultra-aesthetic desserts has relaunched in a new location

It's been nearly two years since its original spot was forced to shut down due to redevelopment.

Billy Button Dessert Bar has relocated after a two-year pause and closure due to redevelopment on East Broadway. The new shop also has a new menu of baked treats.

A Vancouver dessert shop known for its modern, creative and often whimsical treats has opened the doors to its new location, nearly two years after its original spot was forced to shut down due to redevelopment.

Billy Button Dessert Bar, which used to be at 144 E Broadway, is up and running again just a little southeast of where they were before. The new shop is at 3568 Fraser St, and launched its soft open phase in early July.

The dessert spot rose to fame among foodies and sweet tooths thanks to their attention to plating and playful, photo-friendly treat designs (think adorable toadstools and realistic oranges, all edible, of course).

The menu at the revamped and relocated Billy Button has moved away from the whimsical dessert designs and offers more classic treats, albeit in an aesthetically pleasing modern, minimalist space.

Look for yuzu tarts, mango cake, tiramisu, and banana eclair, beautifully presented (and still worth taking a photo or two of for your socials).

Pre-orders can be made by sending the bakeshop a DM via Instagram (they're @billybutton_yvr).

Billy Button is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
