Chick Asta offers a variety of fusion foods for people in Vancouver's west side. The casual restaurant with an expansive menu opened on Nov 14, 2023.

Vancouver's West Point Grey neighbourhood boasts a brand new fried chicken and pasta fusion restaurant.

The fusion-y nature of Chick Asta ( derived from chicken and pasta) goes beyond just the two dishes though, and includes handful of poutines, some Indian rice bowls, wraps and salads. And flame-grilled chicken. And milkshakes.

In other words, the new eatery at 4443 West 10 Ave. has a lot going on; the brand new stop opened up earlier this month in one of the former Rib & Chicken locations.

Their menu leans heavily on pastas, with traditional styles like puttanesca, lasagna and carbonara along with fusion options including curry sauce pasta. Along with the Italian dishes there's Greek salad, popcorn cauliflower poutine, chicken schnitzel burgers, fish and chips, and samosas.

Chick Asta is open Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays from 2 to 10 p.m., and is closed Tuesdays.

The Vancouver restaurant shares a name and theme with a pair of restaurants in Jordan, but appears to be unrelated.
