There’s a new way to find yummy donuts in Burnaby as women-owned company Holy Mochi Donuts is launching through a partnership with Glenburn Soda Fountain at Hastings and Gilmore in the Heights.

Mochi is known as a Japanese rice cake.

The company has been making donuts and selling them in other areas, including Richmond and Surrey.

Holy Mochi Donuts makes the donuts in a shared kitchen space and then will deliver them to Glenburn starting on April 23. All you do is pre-order them and drop by on weekends to pick them up.

“To preserve the quality and authenticity of our recipes, we believe in small-batch production,” says the company. “When smaller amounts are made (with love), we are able to ensure that excellence and freshness are never sacrificed. When it comes to crafting our wholesome deliciousness, everything matters, our ingredients, the production process and, of course, quality. We know that it may not always be easy getting your hands on these, but we hope you understand that our commitment to small batches is our commitment to your taste-buds’ satisfaction.”
