Vancouver's getting a new tiki bar and restaurant and they're popping up for take-out and delivery

Take a trip to the tropics without leaving Vancouver - or even your own home

A new bar and restaurant venture will attempt to transport you to the tropics without leaving Vancouver, and they're making their debut as a pop-up.

Juju's Drink Shack will launch on Wednesay, May 6 inside Published on Main, one of Vancouver's newer restaurants.

The concept brings together tiki-style drinks and a rotating menu of pan-Asian dishes.

“We didn’t want COVID-19 to put a damper on our plans for JuJu’s, which has been in the works for almost a year now,” says Cody Allmin, co-owner of Published on Main. “JuJu’s will have its own bricks and mortar location some day, but right now, we want to energize our team and introduce the community to something fun and new.”

To get things going, Juju's will help you bring the tiki vibes to your own home with their six classic cocktail kits, each featuring Flor de Cana rum.

Pair your Mai Tai, Painkiller, or Hurricane with dishes created by chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson, featuring items like coconut prawns, chilled udon gomae, scallop crudo, and sticky pork belly. The menu is expected to get shaken and stirred with new dishes every week or so.

Orders can be made online for pick-up and delivery on Tock or delivery via DoorDash.
