Mi Tierra Latina is opening up its seventh location in Metro Vancouver soon. The new grocery store will be on Robson Street in Vancouver's West End.

Having started just less than four years ago in Vancouver's West End, Mi Tierra Latina is opening up a second shop in the area, and their seventh location across Metro Vancouver.

The former West End Medical Centre space at 1757 Robson St. is being renovated and will soon house the local chain's newest grocery store, full of goods from "every country in Latin America" according to the company's website.

Launched in 2020 by four women, Mi Tierra Latina's first location was at 1104 Davie St. in the Davie Village. Since then they've opened up five more shops in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and North Vancouver.

"Mi Tierra Latina was created as a way for Vancouver residents, Latinos and those that love to bring a touch of Latin America in their lives (and) to get their much-needed Latin American during the pandemic," states Mi Tierra Latina's website. "And we’re proud to say that it has definitely helped spice up and add colour to the lives of our neighbourhood."

While a specific opening date hasn't been announced, signs at the shop and on Instagram promise it's "coming soon."
