Desserts, finger food and more!

Caspian Castle (the sign appears to have a typo in it) will be opening on Hornby Street in downtown Vancouver.

A new restaurant is moving into a downtown Vancouver space that's been empty for years.

Caspian Castle Food has a sign up at 1091 Hornby St. in the city's core, near the intersection with Helmcken Street. It advertises that it'll be "coming soon" with finger food, desserts, and appetizers.

An Instagram account that appears attached to the location shows a variety of Persian foods; Caspian food comes from northern Iran.

A website that's connected with the location appears completed. Calls to the provided phone number went unanswered.

The sign appears to have a typo, spelling castle as "castel," but online branding for the restaurant uses castle.

The location was formerly used by a Chinese art gallery called Jaydon Art; it closed at least four years ago.
