Spending more time at home might be triggering ideas for home improvement projects, but heading out to roam on major global retailer's stores is not an option. With no trips to Ikea to roam the showroom, shop the marketplace, or grab a bite at the café, it's a lot harder to jazz up your living space on a budget.

One room that's probably getting a lot more attention these days is the kitchen, with many of us making more meals at home day after day. Ikea has just given us access to one of their most prized recipes, though, which means you can cook up a little taste of Ikea in your own home.

Ikea has released the recipe for their iconic Swedish meatballs, and, as you'd expect, it comes with a set of instructions with illustrations (although this does have words). Plus, it includes the cream sauce that goes with those signature meatballs.

Unfortunately it is the meat version; while Ikea is notoriously vegan friendly, we'll have to wait and see if they also share out how to make the plant-based alternatives, Ikea-style.

The ingredients list is fairly short, so make those shopping lists and get cooking.

Now, where you can get your hands on some lingonberry sauce is a whole other problem...

Bonus: Here's some info if you've every wondered how the Swedish furniture and decor giant comes up with all those product names.
