Riley Park farmers' market goes year-round, launches expansion

As the warm-weather weekly markets wind down this month for the year, VFM's two fall-winter markets prep to kick in, but with one key alteration: The Riley Park market is now year-round, absorbing the previous Nat Bailey winter farmers' market.

Change is in the air right now at the Vancouver Farmers Markets, and it's definitely tied to the seasons.

The popular Saturday market, which runs 10 am to 2 pm at East 30th and Ontario, will continue to operate at that time and location through to next spring.

VFM has broken down what we can expect on the site, and that's most certainly an expansion at Riley Park, with double the vendors coming on board between November and April, including food and beverage trucks. Here's what the year will look like for Riley Park:

  • January to April: 60+ farms and producers, food and coffee trucks
  • May to October: 30+ farms and producers, food and coffee trucks
  • November to December: 60+ farms and producers, food and coffee trucks

Things will look and feel about the same through the end of October, with the expanded market offerings launching on November 3. You can use the VFM's site tools to see which vendors are booked that week.
