With the arrival of autumn hot foods are back on the menu (they always were, really, but just not very popular).
To that end, the Vancouver Public Library is holding a 'Cook and Tell' event for those who want to share their food tips and recipes. This month the focus is soup.
"Dust off your favourite recipe and tell the group all about it over a lively Zoom session. If you'd like to try something new, check out our digital cookbooks about soup here," the library says on its website.
The free event will be Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. and is expected to run about an hour. To participate people need a computer, phone or tablet and the Zoom app. The library also has tips on how to use Zoom.
For foodies without Wednesday morning off, the library also has dozens of digitized cookbooks to reference, including plenty with soup or soup-like dishes.
