Fans of Vancouver's veteran spot for jerk chicken, The Reef, were sad to see the 21-year-old restaurant close its doors for good recently, but all signs are - literally - pointing to a vibrant new future for the vacated Main Street address.

Commercial Drive's Sula Indian Restaurant has revealed they will be opening their second location at 4172 Main Street in the space that was previously The Reef.

Hoarding - aka temporary signage covering the windows - has gone up for Sula at their upcoming new address in Mount Pleasant.

Sula is known for its menu of curries, Indian breads, and tandoori meats and vegetables, all of which are prepared using recipes from the Indian states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Kerala, Chennai and Goa.

With a renovation poised to get underway, it's not clear yet when Sula hopes to open on Main. In the meantime, you can check out their food at their original location at 1128 Commercial Drive.
