You know the memes about how crucial tacos are. And you probably have seen that hands clasped in prayer around a taco logo of one of Vancouver's top taco spots. So you probably want to know that Tacofino is re-opening for take-out and delivery, and just in time for Cinco de Mayo.

Tacofino will launch their new to-go service out of their Kitsilano location starting Tuesday, May 5. The restaurant is among the many in Vancouver that opted to close their doors in mid-March as the COVID-19 crisis took hold in locally, and they have worked to figure out a way to safely re-open and serve their fans.

The Tacofino To-Go menu, along with cocktail kits, beer, and wine, will be available for curbside pick-up or delivery via DoorDash, daily from noon to 8 pm.

Taco fans will be happy to see tacos - and much more, like burritos, bowls, and kids' items, as well as their nachos (take-and-bake style). The Tofino-born restaurant will also be offering family sized taco kits, featuring chips and salsa, flour tortillas, and your choice of filling (carnitas or sweet potato). Two dollars from the sale of each kit will be donated directly to the Vancouver Food + Beverage Relief Fund to support hourly industry workers in need of short-term assistance due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

And since you can add on adult drinks with food purchases, you may want to stock your fridge and pantry with the fixings for margaritas and palomas that have eight to 16 servings.

Takeout or delivery orders can be made through DoorDash and online beginning May 5. For contactless pickup, pull into the parking lot behind Tacofino Kitsilano and call 604-620-8729 to have staff bring out orders.
