Vancouver scoop shop brings back popular gelato-making classes this fall

You'd better believe the class involves lots of gelato eating, too.

To give gelato fans something sweet to savour in the chillier months last year, Vancouver's Uno Gelato launched a set of gelato-making classes that put you behind the scenes of the process - with plenty to taste and try.

Now comes word Uno is bringing back their popular Gelato 101 workshops. Running weekly on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. starting October 1 and going until February 25, 2021, the classes are led by Gelato Maestro Andrés Bermudez.

These intimate classes are capped at six participants, and take place at Uno's Kitsilano shop.

The super-fun sessions include a hands-on learning experience (yes, you will help make gelato and sorbetto on the spot!), a pint from the batches you helped make, a guided gelato tasting, and a cone or cup while you're there.

Learn how and why Uno sources their gelato and sorbetto ingredients - including what they bring in fresh from right here in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley at peak season - and how they find precisely the right balance of sweetness in the mix (you might be surprised).

The classes are lots of fun (I checked one out last year, you can read about it here) and are great for a girls' night out, family activity, or date.

Please note, you are asked to bring a face mask to wear during the class, and disposable gloves will be provided.
