Family-owned Kitsilano bakery Serano Greek Pastry quietly opened a new location on West Broadway just a few blocks down from its original spot after 30 years in business.

This small Greektown bakery is beloved by many Vancouver locals.

Serano Greek Pastry has been serving Mediterranean desserts, pastries, and bread on the corner of West Broadway and Trutch Street for 30 years.

Having hit the three-decade mark, owner Eric Sageorgis tells V.I.A. that the family "thought we wanted change."

The bakery's new location is just a few blocks down at 3141 West Broadway and quietly opened on Saturday, April 8.

Locals have been eagerly anticipating its reopening as the business was closed for seven weeks during the move.

Sageorgis adds that while Serano Greek Pastry will continue serving Greek treats they will now also be offering coffee.
