It has been a minute since I have posted on VIA but that is because I haven't had much to rave about till now. Blogging about restaurants can get very boring when you are eating meals that you would just call average. Mediocre food is easy to find.

This place is like T&T for Italian people. East Vancouver is chock full of great delis , we're blessed.

I used to work with this girl who was French...like from France. We made the usual, 'what is the difference?' type conversation about Canada and France, how many holidays the French got, why they are always protesting things...

If you haven't been to El Purgarcito on Hastings near Nanaimo you have not yet lived, my friend.

It's been a minute since I blew up anybody's spot... maybe the last time was when IGA Marketplace was officially crowned Vancouver's Ice Cream Sale Champion of the summer of 2009.

Hey, did you know that Grouse Mountain will be open to skiing/snowboarding and eating 24/7 during the Olympics? The mountain and it's eateries will be open around the clock so you could be chomping poutine off of a tray with a chocolate milk at 3:30A

If you can't find something to eat at Crystal Mall , you are rather slow, or just hate Chinese food. Next to a couple places out in Richmond, nothing matches the variety of Asian cuisine at Crystal Mall.

I'm not sure if you've ever been to Punjabi Market around Diwali time but at that time of year it is pretty much the most awesome, bangin' time where people will randomly just be lighting off fireworks in the middle of the street.

Boy I love octopus balls. On one hand I'm extremely happy Vancouver has a few places where they serve them, I'm positive in most North American cities they don't have such a thing.

Based on the responses from this post, I know people in Vancouver are pretty passionate about their pizza. This is my favourite place in the city...well it's in Burnaby....Me-n-Ed's. It's the only pizza I really crave...
