A woman is dead and a man has been arrested in connection to her homicide in Abbotsford.
On July 28, Abbotsford police officers responded to an assault in progress at a house located in the 2900-block Eastview Street just before 5 p.m.
Once on scene, police located a 45-year-old woman suffering life-threatening injuries. She died at the scene.
A 48-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene. He remains in police custody.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation.
