Vancouver Now & Then: The West End's Fire Hall No. 6 in 1908 and 2020

Here's a look at the history of Vancouver's Fire Hall 6. This 1907 building at 1001 Nicola St was the first purpose-built fire hall in North America for motorized trucks. Very few buildings in Vancouver have survived as long as this one.

This 1907 building at 1001 Nicola St was the first purpose-built fire hall in North America for motorized trucks.

Very few buildings in Vancouver have survived as long as this one. And it is still an operating fire hall in the West End.
