Cult favourite clothing brand Esprit is set to return to Vancouver in December, 2023, opening a location at 1088 Robson Street.

A cult-favourite clothing brand beloved by Europeans is returning to Vancouver.

Esprit rose to fame in the 80s and 90s for their high quality, sustainable wardrobe essentials and overall laid-back, tailored styles. The brand was founded in 1968 in San Francisco by Susie and Doug Tompkins -- who also founded North Face -- and quickly became popular around the world.

Esprit had a store in Vancouver too, but closed in 2012 along with many other Canadian and American locations as the brand retreated overseas to Europe.

In 2023, the brand began to venture back out to North America, opening a location in New York and Los Angeles earlier this year, Esprit's Executive Director, CEO, and COO William Pak told Retail Insider

The new Vancouver location will be located on 1088 Robson Street, formerly J. Crew, and is expected to open in December this year.

A Toronto location will likely come next year.
