A motorcycle travelling up West 6th Street to the intersection of Fir Street in Kitsilano collides with a car travelling up West 6th Avenue in June 2022.

A Vancouver man has shared dashcam footage of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on social media.

The video shows a motorcycle travelling up West 6th Street to the intersection of Fir Street in Kitsilano on Wednesday (June 15) just after 10 a.m. As the motorcycle makes a left turn through the intersection, it collides with a dark-green coloured vehicle travelling down West 6th Street.

The motorcycle rider goes flying above the car and lands hard on the pavement. Someone immediately runs into the street to see if they are okay.

Phillip Slappnig tells Vancouver Is Awesome that he wasn't in his Tesla when the car's camera recorded the accident. However, when he got back to his car, Vancouver police were at the scene and he submitted the video for their file.

V.I.A. has reached out to the Vancouver Police Department for further comment.
