"Don't see too many deer."

A Vancouver man shared images of a deer running around the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

A Metro Vancouverite spotted a deer running through a busy Vancouver neighbourhood on Friday (May 26).

Shaun Layton shared a pair of pictures on Twitter of a deer that ran across a Mount Pleasant street early Friday morning.

The local man captioned that you "don't see too many deer in [Mount] Pleasant,"

This isn't the first time one of the delicate creatures has been spotted on a busy street. In June 2022, a deer was running around the Fairview neighbourhood, including areas near Vancouver General Hospital (VGH).

The deer collided with a vehicle while crossing Oak Street near 14th Avenue around 4 p.m. and eventually died, although it is unclear exactly when it passed.

A young buck was also spotted wandering through the Gastown area in 2021.
