"We all float down here."
While some people want to keep the image of Pennywise the Dancing Clown completely out of their psyches, it appears the majority of Canadians can't get enough of the horrifying creature.
In fact, the latest data from Google Trends for October shows that Pennywise was the most searched for Halloween costume in Canada. So, if you are afraid of clowns, you might want to hide inside on All Hallows Eve - there's bound to be clowns aplenty on the streets.
With that in mind, the data shows that costume searches varied from province to province. As a result, there may be less evil clowns on your block. However, if you live in Vancouver and fear witches, then you're out of luck.
Witches were the most searched for Halloween costume in B.C. during the month of October. Whether these witches are good or bad has yet to be determined, but Vancouver will be under a spell on Oct. 31.
The second most-searched costume in B.C. was a mime, so there may also be a great deal of silent haunting on the big night. The Joker costume came in third, which may be mildly horrifying - to say the least.
As for the Canada-wide searches, the Joker was the second-most searched costume across the country (the creepy clown theme continues). In start contrast, however, was the third most-searched costume: the Powerpuff girls.
A rather G-rated bunch, these adorable cartoon gals are definitely not frightening - unless you add an evil twist (i.e. zombie). Harley Quinn follows in fourth, the seductive yet evil Suicide Squad character played by Margot Robbie.
