One man is dead after the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided in Vancouver.

A collision between a car and a motorcycle Wednesday night claimed the life of a 41-year-old Vancouver man.

At around 6:45 p.m., Oct. 13, near the intersection of Rupert Street and East 41 Avenue, the motorcycle the man was riding collided with a white Mazda 3. While paramedics attempted to save him, the man died at the scene of the collision, states the Vancouver Police Department.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 26-year-old man, stayed at the scene. He's cooperating with police. The VPD says drugs and alcohol were not factors.

The VPD's collision unit is looking into the incident and are looking for any witnesses or dashcam footage. Anyone who can help is asked to call 604-717-3012.
