Road closed after driver slams car into a Burnaby building

Burnaby RCMP officers were busy on Sunday night after a building was damaged by a driver and their vehicle.

Police were called out at around 8:30 p.m. last night to the corner of Kingsway and 14th Avenue, only to find an Audi wedged into the side of a building.

BC Ambulance paramedics attended the crash and transported one person to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Burnaby RCMP closed the road for several hours while they investigated the crash.

The building is the site of the local International Union of Painters & Allied Trades.

The NOW is awaiting more details from RCMP on if charges are pending.
