Firefighters are currently responding to an incident in Vancouver after they received reports of a delivery truck leaking propane.

Assistant Chief Brian Bertuzzi of Vancouver Fire and Rescue tells Vancouver Is Awesome in a phone call that the Hazardous Materials Team is still on scene at the Petro Canada located at Fraser Street and Marine Drive. He says that the driver noticed the leak in the large delivery truck after pulling into the station.

"It created quite a large vapour cloud of propane and so they had to evacuate the area," explains Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi adds that the perimeter is still closed and that drivers should avoid the area.
