You can go on a floral voyage this June at a popular Vancouver garden

There will be mannequins dressed up not in floral patterns but actual flowers

A trip to VanDusen Botanical Garden in June often includes plenty of blossoms, but for 10 days this spring it'll be absolutely stacked with flowers.

That's because Fleurs de Villes's Voyage event will arrive June 9, bringing with it more than a dozen mannequins dressed up not in floral patterns but actual flowers. They'll be placed along a pathway starting with a floral archway and including other installations, including a Porsche covered in flowers (since Porsche is the event's sponsor).

There will also be a children’s discovery trail, live entertainment, floral demonstrations, and an on-site pop-up cafe. All the displays and installations are linked by the theme of travel, inspired by "diverse traditions, festivals and fashions from cities around the world."

A weekend flower market will also be part of the event, along with two satellite installations at the downtown Vancouver Marriott and the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Fleurs de Villes is a recurring Vancouver event that brings together floral artists and local businesses for themed self-guided walking tours of the city. Installations frequently take place ahead of the Christmas holiday season and in the spring.
