Korean fried chicken joint quietly closes up shop in Vancouver

It lasted just over two years

Donky Chicken in Mount Pleasant only served Korean fried chicken in Vancouver for a couple of years before closing permanently in early 2023.

Vancouver's Korean fried chicken scene has become a little smaller.

That's because Donky Chicken recently closed.

The franchised shop at 363 E Broadway specialized in fried chicken, but also carried seafood dishes (like seafood pancakes) and other sides.

The fried chicken spot brought the chain's 30 years of experience from Korea to Vancouver when it opened at the beginning of 2021.

Donky Chicken officially closed up as winter came to an end; according to the city's business license directory went out of business in early March.

While Donky Chicken's website is still up, its social media accounts are gone and it's been removed from delivery apps.
