Have you seen this cheerful, smiling popcorn?
According to the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, this massive, red-and-white striped popcorn is their beloved mascot, Poppy. What's more, they state that it has been stolen.
Used as a cheerful greeter for guests on summer movie nights, the association says they'll offer a small reward for the adorable mascots 'safe return.'
"So please keep an eye out for our favourite box of popcorn (and its big red carrying case)!" writes the Downtown BIA on Twitter.
Sergeant Aaron Roed, Media Relations Officer, Vancouver Police, told Vancouver Is Awesome in a phone call that police were notified by the Downtown Vancouver BIA of a break and enter on their property. He adds that they reported that muliple items were stolen, including the oversized popcorn mascot.
An investigation is currently underway and VPD ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at SOLVECRIME.CA.
