Happy Valentine's Day! As a gift Mother Nature is sending more snow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement as Vancouver is expected to see another bout of snow today.

"On the heels of a snow-producing storm on Saturday, a Pacific frontal system will arrive on the south coast this morning, spreading snow to the Metro Vancouver region. The snow is expected to become mixed with rain late this afternoon in some areas as another system reaches the region," reads the statement.

Up to 4 cm is expected today, but that may not stick around long as today's high is will be around 2 C with some rain across the region.

Tonight up to 4 cm more may fall before Monday morning and tomorrow another 4 cm may fall throughout the day, mixed with rain.

"Snowfall amounts will vary due to the timing of the transition and additional alerts may be issued once snowfall amounts become more certain," states Environment Canada.

A bulletin from the City of Vancouver issued Friday reminds people to clear snow from the area in front of their home.

"All property owners and occupants must clear snow and ice from sidewalks around their property by 10 am the morning after a snowfall, seven days a week," states the city.
