Motorcyclist dies in early morning crash near Queen Elizabeth Park

Officers with the Vancouver Police Department responded a call on Cambie Street near 35th Avenue.

Vancouver police are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage after a fatal accident early this morning (June 2) near Queen Elizabeth Park.

Around 1:40 a.m. a 27-year-old man was riding a motorcycle south on Cambie Street when he lost control near 35th Avenue and hit a curb. He was thrown from the bike.

"A passerby provided first aid until VPD and BC Ambulance Service arrived moments after the collision, however the rider sadly died at the scene," states the Vancouver Police Department in a press release.

Police don't believe any other vehicles were involved in the incident, but are looking to gather more information about what happened before the collision.
