The West Dyke Trail in Richmond is renowned for its daily dose of wildlife.

But Richmond News reader Grant McMillan didn’t spot a bald eagle, a coyote or a blue heron during his Easter Sunday walk along the dike.

Nope, on this occasion, he bumped into Levi – a three-month-old goat, being walked on a leash by his owner, Sharlene.

It was an “interesting and unusual sight” McMillan told the News, who learned that Levi will grow to be at least 150 pounds.

“He likes to have his head scratched.”

You never really know what you will see when out for a stroll in beautiful Richmond.
