Crows are sometimes considered pests, annoyances, or creepy.
But many in Vancouver, it appears, are fans of the black birds.
V.I.A. spoke to a local researcher this spring on the relationship between Vancouverites and crows. In her survey she found many people like crows, even befriending them to some extent.
So V.I.A. ran a reader poll.
Both readers based in the city and overall readership like crows, it seems, with more than half having very or generally positive opinions of the birds.
And the leading opinion overall was very positive, with around 38 per cent of readers.
On the flip side, only around a fifth of readership have any negative feelings towards crows.
For the record, Anna's hummingbird is Vancouver's official bird.
