Prince George RCMP investigating weapons incident on Norwood Street

Three people were taken into police custody

The Prince Geoge RCMP have taken three people into custody following a weapons-related investigation at a Norwood Street home. 

Just after 5 a.m. this morning (Jan. 7) frontline officers converged around the residence on 2100-block, Norwood Street.

The North District RCMP Emergency Response Team were called to assist with the investigation.

Officers then spoke with the occupants of the residence.

At approximately 8 a.m., three people, a 35-year-old male, 41-year-old male and a 50-year-old female, walked out of the residence and were taken into police custody without incident. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing as a Criminal Code search warrant is currently being obtained while officers will remain in the area for most of today.
