The Richmond RCMP responded to a report of gunfire and arrived at a residence in the 6600 block of Eckersley Road shortly after 2:30 a.m. on April 30.
Police found two decreased victims inside the home and Cpl. Dennis Hwang says the deaths do not appear to be random. The identity of the victims has not been released.
"The victims were a man and woman known to each other. They were both known to police," says Cpl. Frank Jang.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is conducting an investigation working in partnership with the Richmond RCMP. Police say the area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.
