The search for a missing 71-year-old Metro Vancouver man has ended tragically.
Mauro Comensoli was reported missing on March 8, 2024; Ridge Meadows RCMP issued a press release asking people to keep an eye out for him.
On Sunday, March 10, they announced the search was over.
"The 71-year-old man that was reported missing on March 8, 2024 has been located deceased," states the RCMP detachment. "Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time."
Police have not provided any other details about Comensoli's disappearance or death.
On March 8 police issued a statement asking people to be on the look out for Comensoli.
He had last been seen in the 14300-block of Harris Road, a farming area north of Pitt Meadows. They asked people with barns and stables to check them as he was comfortable with horses.
