A ‘Shameful’ toy: Iconic Vancouver Tiki bar for sale in Lego form

No, it's not a Tiki bar for ants

Vancouver's popular Shameful Tiki Room has been around for 11 years, and to celebrate they're selling a Lego version of their entrance.

In an announcement that stressed fans of the Shameful Tiki Room on Instagram, the popular lounge announced the ownership had "decided to sell the Shameful Tiki Room Vancouver..."

Luckily they finished that sentence with "...in Lego Form" on the next slide.

The local Tiki lounge has been around for 11 years, and to celebrate they've partnered with Heritage Bricks, the local Lego maker who sells unofficial Lego sets of local icons; in the past, they've created Science World, a Vancouver Special and the English Bay Barge (the latter of which was a special V.I.A. collaboration).

The Lego set will only be available at The Shameful Tiki Room at 4362 Main St., which is open from 5 p.m. to late.

Along with the Lego set, they'll be releasing special mugs to mark their 11th anniversary.

The popular venue was sold last year to a new company called Tribe Called Zest Hospitality, which also owns the El Segundo and the Shed at the Bricker Cider Company in Sechelt. There is a second Shameful Tiki Room in Toronto, still owned by the brand's founder Rod Moore.

Over the past decade, the Shameful Tiki Room has garnered attention from across the internet, ranging from being named the best Tiki bar in North America to Atlas Obscura.

Paste magazine recently named it as one of the five Tiki bars in Canada to check out.

Editor’s note: The Toronto location remains under the founder’s ownership, and the copy has been updated accordingly.
