The incident happened this summer

Police are looking for a man after a taxi driver was left with life-altering injuries during an assault this summer.

The incident happened Sunday, Aug. 14, according to the Vancouver Police Department when the driver picked up the male suspect near the Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain station.

Once he was in the cab, the man allegedly assaulted the driver before fleeing the vehicle.

The driver was left with serious, "life-altering" injuries.

Police are turning to the public for help in the case. On Oct. 27 the VPD released photos of the suspect.

“Investigators have been unable to identify the suspect and are now turning to the public for assistance,” says Const. Tania Visintin in an email. “Anyone who recognizes this suspect is asked to call our investigators.”

Police can be contacted at 1-604-717-2541.
