Flying halfway across the country will soon cost half as much as a foot passenger fare on B.C. Ferries. Low-cost airline carrier Swoop is rolling out uber cheap fares from as low as $7.50, which essentially covers taxes, fees and not much else.

“Fares so low, we’re not making any cents,” is how the company trotted out the promotion on its website.

The $7.50 trip covers a one-way flight from Abbotsford to Hamilton, though only during select windows of availability. The same deal is listed for a flight from Abbotsford to Edmonton, and other cross-country trips range in price between $30 and $100.

Other Canadian departure points include Halifax and Winnipeg.
