Road work is coming to Main Street in Vancouver.

Two weeks of road work for the Broadway Subway project means drivers travelling on Main Street will likely see new delays.

Starting Wednesday, Feb. 23, temporary lane closures will hit the major commuter artery between 8th and 10th avenues during daylight hours, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a release from the project. This includes the intersection with Broadway, just south of where Kingsway meets with Main Street.

While two lanes will be kept flowing in the direction of significant traffic flow during the morning and afternoon commute.

"Please plan extra time, watch for wayfinding information, and obey traffic control personnel and all signs," the release reminds drivers.

The work is expected to last two weeks as a catch basin and storm sewer are moved on Main Street.
