A few months of road work means drivers travelling on Knight Street may see delays.
Starting Saturday, July 9, commuters on Knight Street will run into temporary lane closures between 41st and 57th avenues on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a release from the city.
The major truck and arterial route will be getting road, curb, sidewalk and gutter upgrades with work expected to finish by September 30 this year.
Two lanes of traffic will be open in each direction while roadwork is happening.
Over the weekend (July 9-11) crews will instal a new bus pad and curb on 41st Avenue, resulting in reduced lanes eastbound between Lanark Street and Knight Street. On Monday, crews will start pre-paving work on the southbound lanes.
From July 11 to September 30, there will be curb lane, one travel lane and sidewalk closure only in the areas of construction.
The city warns commuters to expect delays and plan ahead.
