TransLink has announced that a medical emergency on the Expo Line has shut down service at Columbia SkyTrain Station.

As a result of the emergency at Columbia Station, there is a disruption to Expo Line service between New Westminster, Braid and Scott Road Stations.

Columbia Station is closed for the time being, and Expo Line trains are turning back at New Westminster, Braid and Scott Road Stations.

A bus bridge is being set up to transport customers between the three stations.

Millennium and Canada Lines are unaffected, and are running normally.

Additional security and Transit Police are at the stations to ensure passenger safety and crowd control.

Riders seeking alternative routes to SkyTrain are encouraged to consult TransLink's Trip Planner online, and select "Don't Use SkyTrain" under advanced search settings, or contact the customer information desk (604-953-3333) for trip planning advice.
