Hello, sun: Vancouver forecast calls for a sunshine this weekend

While the city has seen a great deal of wet weather over the past few weeks, Environment Canada calls for some sunny days over the weekend. 

Starting on Wednesday, July 8, the forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 20°C. However, the evening forecast calls for periods of rain that are expected to continue into Thursday; Thursday evening is expected to be dry.

Starting on Friday, the forecast calls for bright sunshine and a high of 22°C with clear skies and a low of 14°C overnight. Saturday through Tuesday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with highs ranging between 21°C and 22°C. Only Saturday night calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers.

Environment Canada has revisited its three-month summer forecast to include September. Models show above average temperatures. Right now, the forecast shows the Lower Mainland should see temperatures between 0.5°C and 1°C above average through the season.
