Hello, sun: Vancouver forecast calls for a week of sunshine

Temperatures are expected to get up to 15°C this week.

The Vancouver weather forecast calls for sunshine and a number of mild daily highs over the next week. 

Starting on Friday, March 13, Environment Canada calls for cloudy skies with a high of 8°C with a low of zero degrees overnight. Following that, Saturday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 6°C during the day a low of -1°C at night. 

Starting on Sunday, however, the forecast for a significantly warmer daily high of 12°C. With this in mind, the daily low will still be a chilly -1°C. Monday and Tuesday are also expected to be sunny and mild during the day with chilly overnight lows. 

On Wednesday, the forecast is calling for a high of 15°C during the day with a low of 2°C overnight.

Spring is also expected to be slightly cooler than average this year in Vancouver, and the snow pack is thicker than normal. As such, there is a potential for flooding when the snow pack thaws if the weather is cool and wet in the Lower Mainland.
