Vancouver gas prices are predicted to rise substantially over the weekend, with prices starting to climb on Friday, February 1.
Dan McTeague, a Senior Petroleum Analyst with GasBuddy.com, tweeted about the rising prices, adding that residents would be wise to fill up as soon as possible.
He notes that the Lower Mainland will see a "3 ct/l HIKE overnight" at the pumps on Friday. Following this, he expects that the prices will increase by an additional one or two cents per litre by Saturday.
As such, he advises drivers that they ought to fill up on Thursday, January 31, rather than wait for prices to go down.
