Truly trippy.

The Metro Vancouver weather forecast included some thick fog in December 2022 as places like the Granville Street Bridge nearly disappeared from view.

Metro Vancouverites woke up to a thick fog blanketing the region early Wednesday (Dec. 14) morning.

While the sun started to peek out after 9 a.m., there was near-zero visibility at street level during the early morning hours, resulting in poor driving conditions.

When conditions worsen due to fog -- or any kind of inclement weather -- Environment Canada urges drivers to slow down and exercise caution.

Locals have taken to social media to share images of the spooky scene in the region, such as a haunting perspective of vehicles appearing to vanish as they passed into the fog on the Granville Street Bridge.

Vancouver City Councillor Mike Klassen shared an image of the morning's heavy fog in a park, commenting that it didn't stop him from getting in his "pre-dawn fitness class."

Other people mentioned that they don't even mind the fog, with some of the remarking that they "love it."

One snap showcases the sun shining bright above the misty manifestation.
