Forget "Juneuary."

While the Vancouver weather forecast calls for a chance of rain this weekend, the next couple of days are expected to be rather toasty in the city.

Starting on Wednesday, June 17, Environment Canada calls for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 19°C except 22°C inland; the evening forecast calls for a few clouds and a low of 11°C. Following this, Thursday is expected to be mainly sunny with a high of 19°C except 23°C inland, with cloudy periods and a low of 13°C overnight.

Friday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud during the day and a high of 20°C. However, the evening forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers. After this, Saturday's forecast calls for rain during the day and a 60 percent chance of showers at night. And while the rain is expected to stop by Sunday, the forecast calls for cloudy skies throughout the day.

Monday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud, while Tuesday's forecast is calls for cloudy skies.

The Weather Network has released its official 2020 summer forecast for Canada, which covers the next three months of weather across the country.

The company highlights an "abundance of warm weather across most of Canada," after many Canadians saw record-breaking temperatures during the month of May. However, the summer months are not expected to include "relentless heat" for most of the country.
