A Vancouver woman says she was horrified to discover her fruit tree and berry bushes had been picked clean after a real estate agent brought two people to view her home.

In a Facebook group called Subtle Asian Vancouver, Jill Chan writes that Peter T. Yang from Luxmore Realty brought two people to her Vancouver home at a showing on Friday. She adds that she wasn't at home during the incident and that Yang took, "advantage of the fact that we weren't present on the site" to enjoy picking and eating fruit from her garden. What's more, she says that he went to his car to get bags in order to take more fruit with him.

"He instructed the viewers to happily join him, and they took a free for all on our home showing," writes Chan. "They spat all their seeds out all over the ground. Who does this?"

Chan adds that the garden was her late grandmother's "pride and joy," and that she found Yang's behaviour "truly appalling." While she says that Yang offered to return the fruit as compensation, she says the concept is "ludicrous."

Captured on Chan's home CCTV footage from Friday shows Yang and other people helping themselves to fruit from the garden. The video has been shared on Reddit where it has been up-voted over 1,000 times.

In response to Chan's grievances, Luxmore Realty has posted an apology to its Facebook page. The author writes that Yang's behaviour was "irresponsible" and "unprofessional" and that he deeply regrets his actions. They add that the company will be working to strengthen "all sorts of training," which will include "educating about property privacy."
