The man fatally gunned down Tuesday night near a busy Vancouver intersection has been identified.
The Vancouver Police Department say the victim is 30-year-old Vancouver resident Manoj Kumar.

Kumar was shot and killed as he sat in a parked vehicle in an alley off Burrard Street at West Fourth in Kitsilano.
The VPD says they received numerous reports of shots fired in the area at about 8:30 pm the night of Tuesday, April 16. The shooter fled the area, possibly by car, before police arrived. Kumar died at the scene.
Investigators say while Kumar was not known to police, his shooting was a "targeted homicide."
Constable Jason Doucette of the VPD adds: “Although it’s very early in the investigation and we are still working to identify a motive, I can confirm that Mr. Kumar [...] does not have any obvious connections to a criminal lifestyle.”
A nearby car fire on West 22nd Avenue at Yew Street may be connected to Kumar's death, though no link has yet been confirmed. The vehicle has been seized pending investigation.
This is the city’s fourth homicide of 2019. No arrests have been made.
